The new town was later supplied the identify Hesperides, in reference for the Hesperides, the guardians of the mythic western paradise. The name may have also referred to environmentally friendly oases in small-lying parts from the nearby coastal basic.

A further significant and common park is al-Buduzira in North Benghazi about the al-'Uruba Highway in al-Kwayfiya. The park surrounds a natural lake, and is much more rugged in mother nature than the town parks. A section of al-Buduzira can also be a drinking water park with massive slides, even though the southern Element of the park has picnic locations which happen to be popular during the summers.
